IN COOPERATION WITH: SOUTH AFRICAN SHARK CONSERVANCY

A Shark’s Point Of View
Haiku Poem - written by Morgan Flowerday(aged 12 yrs)

Trying to survive,
And yet so misunderstood,
That’s a poor shark’s life !
It’s hard being a shark.
There’s no place to run or hide,
They’re taking our fins!
With no fins on us,
We will sink to the bottom,
There to die and rot!
People think we are killers
But it is the other way
They are killing us!
I love my fins,
But they love them in soup,
I WANT MY FINS BACK!
Nobody understands,
We are the seas best hunters,
What happens to the food chain ?
We deserve to live too,
To live the life we dream of,
A dream of free will !!
