3000 SHARK SIGHTINGS IS NOT ENOUGHGerald has undertaken close on 1 000 shark trips, and has experienced in the region of 3 000 shark sightings! And yet he is still thrilled by every day he spends out at sea. The sea is his passion. Ever since he was a little boy, he's lived for the time he could spend out on the ocean waves. He says that the best part of his job is seeing the Great Whites. Even after so many years and thousands of sightings these creatures continue to amaze him. Gerald is a Dive Master and has a Level Three First Aid qualification. Changing people's perspective about the Great White Shark and introducing people to this mysterious creature is what fuels his passion. |

CONSERVATIONIST BY CHANCEMandla came to White Shark Projects quite
by chance. To the benefit of the whole team - and all our clients - he
has found his niche working on the boat and with the sharks. He is now a well-qualified shark handler and Dive Master. Mandla's passion lies with conservation. He runs an educational programme with children from the local schools to create an awareness of marine life, and to educate the community about how important it is to conserve and respect it. |

SHARK GAZERAdrian is our in-house Marine Biologist and, while doing
various observations and implementing non-invasive research methods, he
shares his knowledge with our clients. “My best experiences are when a shark comes to the side of the boat and just hangs there with its head out of the water and checks you out! There really is something amazing about looking a great white in the eye and knowing that you are being checked out at the same time! Their eyes are a magnificent magenta-blue and when you see them in the right light - well, it’s stunning!" says Adrian. |
